Education
Two excellent web sites that offer information about career opportunities in working with marine mammals are:
1. The International Marine Animal Trainers Association www.IMATA.org. It contains a career information section that outlines numerous career options and other helpful pointers. Scroll down the left side of IMATA’s home page until you find “Career Info.”
2. The Society for Marine Mammalogy www.marinemammalogy.org. It also offers a career section. Scroll down on the left of the home page until you find the listing Strategies for Pursuing a Career in Marine Mammal Science (or click here for direct access). This section recommends courses to take in college, how to get experience, development of resumes, how to find jobs, and much more.

European Union of Aquarium Curators (EUAC)
It started in 1972. At that time a great number of Public Aquariums in Europe were mainly integrated in major zoos and only a few independant aquariums existed. In order to exchange experiences, knowledge and technical developments in the aquarium field, a European Union of aquarium Curators (E.U.A.C.) was founded. Today the situation has quite changed and more independant Aquariums opened to the public in Europe.
