Scholarships for city women to study at London varsity
Women from Mumbai will soon be able to avail of scholarships to pursue a masters degree at Londons prestigious University of Westminster, thanks to sheriff Dr Indu Shahani.
On offer are four scholarships, collectively worth Rs 70 lakh. Two of these scholarships will cover all expenses, including tuition fees, accommodation, return flights and a monthly living allowance, while the other two will be in the form of tuition fee waivers. Women with a first class graduation degree from a reputed institution and proficiency in English are eligible to apply.
The scholarships offered cover a variety of masters programs, starting January 2009, at the university.
Application forms for the scholarships can be downloaded from www.hrcollege.edu/forms.html or www.sheriffofmumbai.com/f orms.html. Forms are also available at the transcript counter of HR College between 10 am and 4 pm on working days. Completed forms should be sent by email or faxed to The Sheriff of Mumbai, c/o HR College of Commerce and Economics. The last date for receiving scholarship applications is November 10. Interviews of short-listed candidates will be held in Mumbai on November 27.
