To counter the increasing cases of malaria in the city, Wockhardt Foundation along with BMC is carrying out the anti malaria drive across slums of Mumbai, for the months of August and September 2010. Dedicated teams of doctors from Wockhardt Foundation has been constantly on the job and are giving free consultation on the spot, and are doing Fast Rapid tests of malaria for the poor patients.
Apart from that, thorough medical examination was done & medications for their ailments were provided absolutely free off cost. Warriors at Wockhardt Foundation have strived & will continue to work towards the upliftment of the poor, weak and needy masses of our society.
Huzaifa Khorakiwala, C.E.O of Wockhardt Foundation says, “Today, malaria has reached alarming proportions and is posing as a major life and health hazard. Wockhardt Foundation has launched an all out initiative to tackle this problem through its Mobile Health Reach Programme providing free consultations, free testing, and free medicines.
