Water in tankers found unsafe to drink…….Raksha Shetty
Mercury rising in Mumbai and with the BMC planning another 35 per cent water cut this week, water tankers have never been in so much demand. But water they supply could be dangerous, says a study conducted by the market leader in water purification systems, Eureka Forbes.
The study says 87 per cent of water supplied in tankers in Mumbai is contaminated with the E-coli bacteria, which causes diseases like typhoid, and cholera.
