CONSTRUCTION OF ONE VOCATIONAL TRAINING CENTRE FOR THE WOMEN OF POOR

The project area Periyakulam Taluk of Theni district has bee declared as drought prone area and it is predominantly rural.  The area is characterised by the persistence of high illiteracy and school drop out rates and a culture that is highly tradition oriented.  The situation is a paticularly poignant one for women.  The girls who complete their 10+2 level and high school level, due to their economic condition, are unable to continue their education, even though they are very much interested to study further.
Hence Vocational trainings like Nursing, Computer education are offered by SARA Trust   which will make the trainees to get good jobs.  Womenof poor and weaker section of our area eagerly join these courses as they get jobs immediately after they finish the courses.

At present the Training centre is in a rented building of a rent of Rs.10000/- per month which is met by the fees collected from the trainees, who arfe interested in learning but are unable topay the tuition fees of Rs.1000/- per month.

Therefore we need NGO/Charity/individual/Donors that support financially the construction of one Vocational Training Centre at Periyakulam for the benefit of the women of poor and weaker section of the said area.
