Two MHADA officials land in ACB net for accepting Rs 10,000 bribe
Mumbai: Two officials from the Maharashtra Housing and Area Development Authority (MHADA) were arrested by the Anti-Corruption Bureau for accepting a bribe of Rs 10000 from a contractor.
Rangnath Khotkar, an executive engineer and Shailesh Yeole, sub-engineer, were nabbed from their Bandra office. According to ACB officials, Yogesh Masurkar, a plumbing contractor did not intend to pay the bribe and registered a complaint with the ACB. A trap was laid at the MHADA office and Khotkar and Yeole were caught while accepting marked notes of Rs 10,000 on Tuesday.
