| Message: | Ours is a premier organization in the field of disability management. Our focus is on rural areas. Our approach is to establish a centralized resource center and act as a Catalyst to change and promote development in the physically and mentally challenged sector by involving the village community in the process. The organization is founded and run by physically challenged persons who have built a good team and infrastructure and are delivering quality and value added services at local, regional and national spectrums. Sri.S.Ramakrishnan who became a paraplegic due to a mishap when he was 21 years old while studying in an engineering college in Coimbatore established Amar Seva Sangam in the year 1981 in his native village Ayikudy about 5 Kms away from Tenkasi, in southern most part of Tamil Nadu. I am a Chartered Accountant and a wheel chair user, affected by muscular dystrophy, joined him in 1992. With the blessings of God and support of well wishers we were able to make progress. Our services now covers more than six lakhs of population and more than four thousand disabled people are currently our service users. We extend our services totally free.
