Greetings from Vivekananda Trust, Tezu Arunachal Pradesh a branch unit of
Vivekananda Trust,a charitable trust with HQ at Mysore. ours is a small
trust involved in grass root level activties in the field of non-formal
education, and awareness development in health-care, herbal kitchen gardens,
envirronmental concerns and youth library movement. Curently in Arunachal,
we are involved in Reading promotion among youth through a network of
children’s and youth mini-libraries, in association with AWIC New Delhi,
VGKK, BR Hills, Karnataka, RIM, Chennai and a few other local groups
as desired by you, we are proviidng as per fromat, a note of the library
books badly needed by our readers:
1. Type of books you are interested in e.g. text books, inspirational books,
etc:
Standard Indian Books for young people (Class V to College level )in
English and Hindi :
a) books which can be used as supplementary readers by school students..
b) abridged editions of world classics; Indian classics from various Inadian
languages.
c) Well-known contemporary non-fiction books on social issues, motivation,
personality moulding etc useful for youth in Hr. Secondary & college levels
and also Parents.
2. location where books can be dropped and timings for dropping:

4. what will be done with the donated books:
The Vivekananda Trust Tezu, Arunachal Pradesh (HQ Mysore) coordinates the
VT-AWIC Youth Library Network, Lohit with its HQ at the Bamboosa Library,
Tezu. The Network has 12 mini-week-end libraries looked after by community
volunteers, wholly as a service. The libraries are spread over a very large
area right upto Walong, on the China border and serve rural tribal
arunachali society at locations where there are no public libraries at all.
All libraries are free and open to all.
5. a single-line statement that would motivate people to donate books to
your organization:
Every book that you donate goes to cheer rural Arunachali youth right up to
the China border!
