Mr J.M.Lyngdoh, Mr T.S. Krishna Murthy, Mr Sk>k. Mendiratta, Legal Advisor to the Election Commission of India and myself and some of the retired officers of the Election Commission of India and other organisations including Defence Services have founded an Association named FOUNDATION FOR ADVANCED MANAGEMENT OF ELECTIONS (FAME) with the main aim of fighting for electoral reforms, voter awareness, inner party democracy in various politicl parties and other organisations, impart training to electoral officers in India and abroad. The First National Seminar on Electoral Reforms was conducted by FAME on the 21st November, 2009 in which eminent personalities from all walks of life participated. You may see the proceeding of this Seminar in our website fame-india.com I think we should all join together and fight for electoral reforms in the country.
FAME is also supervising/auditing the organisational elections of Indian Youth Congress and National Students Union of India at the request of Mr Rahul Gandhi, AICC General Secretary in charge of these organisations. FAME had written to all recognised political partiers intimating them our willingness to supervise their organisational elections. We have received reply from only CPI and no othr party. FAME is a two year old Baby and its website is a couple of months old. Much has to be done and we promise to come out with many more electoral informatin on our website.
May I request you all in particular Mr Pramod Chawlaji to give suggestions if any.
Warm regards
K J Rao
