Dear Sir,
With reference to a telephonic talk to you today, I am to inform you that a child below 14 years namely Pinto Kumar Chaudhary from Chapra District of Bihar has been employed as domestic servant for the last one year by one Mr. Ajay Mathur who works in ABN Amro Bank and is residing at 1/21, Shanti Niketan, Opposite R. K. Puram, Delhi 110021. I have received a telephonic message from this child through Shri Subhash Bhatnagar that the child wishes to be released but the employer Mr. Ajay Mathur is not permitting the child to go out of the house. It is submitted that the child is a bonded labour within the meaning of the Bonded Labour System (Abolition) Act, 1976. The employer is also illegally withholding approximately a sum of Rs.18,000/-, which is due to this child on account of his services.
It is therefore, requested that immediate action in this matter may be taken to get the child Pinto Kumar Chaudhary released and the employer Mr. Ajay Mathur may be booked for the violation of the provisions of The Child Labour (Prohibition and Regulation) Act, 1986 and The Bonded Labour System (Abolition) Act, 1976 etc.
Thanking you
Yours faithfully,
