1.Need for rating NGOs- alot of time NGOs are started because alot of people are passionate about an issue and want to directly impact it.However, and with all due respect to all NGOs alot of work that some of them are doing is extremely haphazardly done. With a rating system, certain criteria can be agreed upon which NGOs must achieve to be able to be certified.
2. NGOs should definetly be rated on structure, reach and sustainability( how sustainable their work for the long run as well as how sustainable their organizations are.)
3.Probably each NGO should have a person who is part of a forum that judges NGOs-this person would prepare a report and as well as evaluate reports of other organizations
4. In my extremely subjective opinion NGOs like Childline India Foundation , Ashoka, Population First are a few NGOs that do some outstanding and innovate work
