We have to draw a guideline. can some members work on a draft?. anna hazare brought out concept of mother NGO – to oversee contributions of NGOs.

There are many registred and many more unregistered NGOs. several of them do not have any fixed agenda or have very limited local interest like …. maidaan bachaao samitee. …… ganapati mandal and so on. if theyhave own constitution/aims and objectives, at least 11 momber, self financing and public spirited, they cen and should certainly be a part of NGO council. what i mean is that some criteria need to be laid down for membership.

Many NGOs are formed for tapping govt or international grants and aids. several of them are in wrong hands.

Who will rate them? – ask for a screening committee. after obtaining details of NGO on a prescribed for,these nGOs can be interviewed and made a part of council.
