Lifeline Express in Thane for a month
Medical services by the Lifeline Express or Jeevan Rekha Express, a mobile hospital train run by the NGO Impact India Foundation will be available to the people in Thane district and its neighbouring areas from May 14-June 13. The Lifeline Express will be stationed for almost a month at Vasind (on Mumbai outskirts) on the Central Railway route, Impact India CEO Zelma Lazarus said. This will be our 125th project. So far we have treated six lakh poor patients across the country,she said. Surgeons and doctors from KEM Hospital, J J Hospital and Nair Hospital, will offer free services to the patients, she added.
