There is an ongoing famine in the world, and prices of food grains are rising exponentially across all countries of the world. Indias situation in terms of its Food Security (availability of food grains or Food products for its population) is the lowest in the world, primarily due to its large population. I am a 37 yr old serving officer of the Indian Army, originally from a village in Madhubani district in North Bihar and these plans envisage leveraging the fertile plains of North Bihar for enhancing the Food security of India.
The effort is envisaged through a Private enterprise submitted to Gurudev (HH Sri Sri Ravi Shankar Art of Living), and assumes that the required funds would be contributed from various High Net Worth individuals (Indian, NRIs, and Foreign); Corporations; and Foundations in India and across the world inclined to contribute towards this urgently needed enterprise. Certain corrections to the plans for enhancing the Food security of India (posted on this site by me, yesterday) needed to be included.
Broadly, the plans dream of a number of Food Parks (on the lines of Brigade nodes of the Indian Army); and raised in identified, flood free, areas in the plains of North Bihar that would coordinate the Packaging, and Storage of processed Food Products prepared by the residents of North Bihar in their own Food Processing Units (FPUs). The Marketing of these products is planned to be coordinated over Internet from a city in another state in India for decided profit percentages. The Processed Food products would be Sattu, Daliya, Cornflakes, Chips and Sauces of all types, Pickles, Soft Drinks including Fruit Juices, and other products (like of Makhana, Singhada etc) and other local specialties.
This chain of Food Parks would be required to be raised in a series of well planned steps. In the first step; the Core Team of this envisaged enterprise would operate a Food Processing Unit (FPU) in Madhubani district of North Bihar. After three years of profit-making operations of this FPU and gaining the experience the first Food Park of the enterprise would be raised in Madhubani district of North Bihar. Further activity related to the enterprise could proceed as per Divine designs.
The planned FPU in Madhubani district is planned to be operated on the funds of minimum $ 1 Million (INR 5 Crore at the rate of 1 US $ to INR 50). Each Food Park of the envisioned enterprise is visualised to be raised on funds of minimum $ 50 Million (INR 250 Crore). All the aspects have been considered; however, the plans are still flexible to accommodate advisable changes. I sincerely hope that I have reached the source from where these plans will finally materialise.
