New NGO launched to help public during monsoon
A new NGO ‘Mumbai Vikas Manch’ would help people in the Metropolis during the monsoon get proper and immediate help for rain-related problems.
Speaking to mediapersons here today, K D Vora, president of the Manch, said during the monsoons the city faced several problems including water logging, floods and traffic jams. To help people tackle these problems, the volunteers of the manch will coordinate with the civic authorities and state government employees to help resolve the problems. He said that they had divided the city into six zones and each zone will have its local chairman, who will keep an eye on the local problems and will inform the authorities.
In this ragard, a function has been organised on June 27 at Shanmukanand Hall, to be attended among others by Chief Minister Ashok Chavhan and deputy speaker of Rajya Sabha Rehman Khan and others, he added.
