The Lok Sabha Secretariat has revised the last date for receipt of suggestions or memorandum on “Inter-Linking of Rivers” to 31 July 2005. They have also provided the email address to which these could be sent. Project’s estimated cost is a whopping Rs 5,60,000 Crore. If implemented, besides incurring the collosal expenditure, benefits could be limited and perhaps ecologically disasterous. Take some time off and read through information available at various websites. After that, please send in your memorandum to the address given in the advertisement which had appeared in the Times of India Mumbai edition on 14 July 2005. The same has been reproduced below.
