The Mumbai Metropolitan Region Development Authority (MMRDA) has decided to offer tenements in Nahur, to the 106 residents of Sarvodaya Hospital staff quarters. Post relocation, the work on the 200 meter patch from LBS road to Sarvodaya Hospital on the Versova-Andheri -Ghatkopar (VAG) Metro corridor is expected to commence.
The Authority will soon handover, the tenements to the Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation. Immediately after the handover, the Corporation will process the shifting of the residents to the tenements at Nahur.
Earlier the residents were offered a temporary rehabilitation at Gautam Nagar, Deonar. Post discussions they will now be relocated at Nahur which is the preferred location of the residents.
