BMC BRACES FOR CLEANLINESS DRIVE
The Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation, with the help of a contractor, plans
to advertise its cleanliness drive scheduled to begin from October 14.
The civic agency will implement the drive with the help of clean-up
marshals hired from private security agencies. The BMC fears that the people
may oppose the drive when the clean-up marshals fine them. To avoid this,
BMC had planned to advertise the drive and the penal action.
Ogilvy and Mather, the company given the contract for the cleanliness
drive, will campaign about the drive in two phases through its signboards.
