Anticorruption.bg
Anticorruption.bg is the first Bulgarian portal site dedicated to corruption and anti-corruption measures and policies in the country.
The site provides information about the media coverage of specific corruption cases in Bulgaria; research, publications, studies as well as about anti-corruption projects, initiatives and policies.
The importance of effectively preventing corruption in a country that is hopeful to join NATO and the EU is growing. The public-private Coalition 2000 decided to build this site in order to enlarge the outreach of its activities and deepen the public awareness on the complex problems confronting the fight against corruption. Being an initiative of a number of Bulgarian non-governmental organizations and public figures from various spheres of the public sector, Coalition 2000 prioritizes monitoring the transparency of both government and business sector’s activities and disseminating information about the “corruption temperature” of the society.
The portal site Anticorruption.bg informs of the anticorruption activities and efforts both of Coalition 2000 and its partners, and of the government and the business community. By publishing regular weekly and monthly reports about the monitoring of the media it shows how Bulgarian media understand and cover the subject of corruption. Site visitors will find regularly updated Corruption Monitoring Indexes showing the spread of corruption in Bulgaria. The annual Corruption Assessment Report of Coalition 2000 is also being published on the site.
Anticorruption.bg provides links to many resources such as publications, studies, polls, research and reports produced both in Bulgaria and abroad, thus facilitating knowledge-sharing between the main stakeholders.
