Junior clerk held for accepting bribe of Rs 5000
The sleuths of the Anti Corruption Bureau (ACB) caught red handed a junior clerk, Nashik Zilla Parishad for accepting a bribe of Rs 5,000 for sanction of economic incentives to a couple of inter-caste marriage, here.
According to ACB sources, the couple approached junior clerk, Balasaheb Nikam for sanction of economic incentives under inter-caste marriage.
Nikam demanded a bribe of Rs 5,000 from them for sending their proposal for economic aid to Social Welfare Department.
One of the couple lodged a complaint with the ACB. Acting on complaint, ACB officials laid a trap and caught Nikam red handed yesterday, while he was accepting the bribe from the complainant at Zilla Parishad premises.
