The XRCVC is a resource unit for visually challenged persons and is involved
in a range of support services and development work with visually challenged
persons.
The centre has an active advocacy programme looking into accessibility
issues for persons with vision impairment. Our core areas of focus have been
Copyright Challenge – access to the printed word and financial
accessibility. We have also been involved in other accessibility issues-
such as scribe guidelines, accessible infrastructure etc. To know more about

In the last 4 years the XRCVC has been recognised as a nodal organisation
working in the field. We believe in working in small and dynamic teams which
can multitask.
Who are we looking for to join Our Team?
An enthusiastic candidate with a Social Science background (Masters and
Social work orientation preferred). Able to direct ones own work as well as
take on the responsibility of cutting across expertise and roles in the full
running of the XRCVC and its activities. We are looking forward to
candidates willing to commit for at least 3 years.
The role involved would be:
– Administrative responsibilities to run the centres day to day activities
– Documentation and communication � involved in reporting and
correspondence
– Volunteer coordination � for visually challenged students and persons
– Student counselling and Student development work
– Driving the Advocacy programme at the centre
– Conceptualising, conducting and implementation of the awareness programmes
and modules
– Being able to plan and strategise XRCVC activities and plans
We are open to any person starting off fresh or with 2-3 years of
experience. Remuneration will be based on experience.
