Dear Colleagues,
A lot of heat is generated in last few days against the govt notification however action in size and magnitude is not seen. It will, in the end, be proved that we and not the govt officers, are brain dead because we did not act in time. The last date for submission of objections was 27 July and that has passed. We have no idea of how many formally objected before the last
date.
We can try still to flood hundreds of letters in next 2-3 days. Letter written on the following lines addressed to the designated offficer mentioned in the notification must be delivered in his office immediately against acknowledgement of receipt.
I am working with inadequate info. Please contact pervinj@yahoo.co.uk Pervin
Jehangir for gaps in info.

I request you to enter my objection even though it is not delivered before
the due date that expired on 27 July 2005. I could not register my
opposition before the last date as all services in Mumbai were dislocated
due to heavy downpour starting from 25 July. Please condone the delay in
submission of my objection.
I oppose the proposal to ban the marketing and consumption of non-iodised
salt. I propose to submit my objections at the itme of personal hearing.
I request you to give me an appointment for personal hearing for submission
of my objections. Adequate advance notice should be given for intimating
the time and place of appointment. I await your confirmation.
Yours faithfully
(your name)
