My First Step to a Noble Cause – An NGO
This refers to “Starting an NGO”. Firstly I would like to brief you about myself. I am Deepak Gupta, Post Graduate from Mumbai University currently working with Hindustan Lever Limted as an All India Officer. My area of interest is Teaching and Counselling students. This is the reason that I will be leaving Hindustan Lever and will be doing my Ph D from ICFAI University and Part Time MBA from Mumbai University Simultaneuously.
SOCIAL ISSUE: Today, for city’s development or for country’s development “EDUCATION” is must. Our literacy level is really bad i.e 52% as per 1991 census when compared with developed countries in the west. This makes me feel that something needs to be done in this area. I have been giving tutions to school and college students from past 8 years so that my education fee is paid from the earnings. I had also given tution to students for FREE those who cannot afford it. But this is done on a very low scale and all from the society are not benefited. To take this forward I would like to start an NGO for the students to guide them, to provide them finances, books, jobs.
There are no of students in India who dont have money to buy books, doesnt know which career to choose, dont have finance for further study. I myself is one of the suferer of all this. My NGO will provide the students with old books, guidance and finances if possible. Also I would be looking forward to tie ups with various educational institutes for guidance tie ups.
Name of an NGO: DISHA – A path to your Career
Objective: The prime objective of NGO will be to guide students for a right career. To provide them with finacial help and secondary help in terms of books, concessions from Intitutes, etc.
