Let me quickly introduce myself before moving forward with what this mail is about.
My name is Ravi Sankar.
I am working in Mumbai as a Senior Associate in the Equity Research department of a foreign firm (Morgan Stanley).
I am a Financial Analyst by profession (Cost Accountancy, Company Secretaryship, and Post-graduation in Commerce).
Philanthropy is definitely much more than a hobby for me. I also wish to seriously pursue social service as more than a weekend activity. To supplement these interests of mine and to channel my efforts more productively and meaningfully, I have recently associated myself with an NGO working for child rights.
What makes me approach you is the content I saw in your web site Karmayog.com. To be honest, this is, by far, the most extensive, well-maintained NGO information-related web site. I wish to thank you for the efforts that you are putting into this.
I observe that there are many NGOs working for many noble causes and I also observe that the impact these great organizations are causing in their fields is either not measured well or communicated effectively to achieve greater penetration and public interest.
It is with this same idea that I wanted to understand if you could provide me an opportunity to meet you and discuss with you certain ideas that I have with me. You are certainly more experienced and involved than I am in the field of social service, so meeting you would help me fine tune and kick off steps that may help all of us achieve the cause that we are trying to work for.
My work and personal e-mail ids have also been given in the address list. You may feel free to reach me on my mobile or also through my work mail id.
Kindly let me know when it is convenient for you.
I have a 5 day work week. So, Saturdays and Sundays are my favorite days. But the other days are no limitations if you wish to.
Awaiting a positive response.
