– English speaking classes fraud
The basic idea of posting this issue was not to pull each other’s leg or to point out how each one of us r using incorrect English in our correspondence but to discuss if there is any unethical and corrupt policy that exist in society which is exploiting and mint money on this issue.
1. “kunal chaudhary” wrote directly to me ‘hello sir, I agree with your thought. Here i am one of the master degree student and we alsoface this problem we means me and some my classmates.we are from the gujarati medium and facing a problems in communicating with
english, but we decided that every day we met at one decided placed and discuss on
the one pre decided topic in english every one get the equal chance for speaking. and when one person is speaking so remaining members are observing the speech and note down the errors and in the last we concluded the session.
So initially all are facing the problems but gradually all are improved in their communication skill. Here sir first we decided that why we cant speak and find out the root cause it is a lack of practice so we started a practice.
As a result now we all are able to speak in the classroom and also held some presentation in the class.
so sir first find out the root cause of the problem and for removing the promblem find the soluation as per the cause.
Here sir two students also join the english speaking class eventhough there are not much more difference. I think i can discuus much more on this problem rather topic but i have limited time.

3. “Rajendra Aggarwala” of JAGO-INDIA group wrote interesting explanation ‘The answer to the problem does not lie in trying to control the malpractices that have cropped up because of slavery to English; but in getting rid of this slavery by making national languages as relevant as English for jobs as well as social interaction and communication.
English has undeservedly helped the 5-10% of the population only because the national languages have been made reduntant/irrelevant in violation of constitutional provisions. Except one, all states have the Indian national languages as their official state languages. Why is this so, if English is compulsory for getting higher level jobs?
90% of India is NOT growing because of this artificial slavery to English by self serving bureaucrats and professionals. If the latent energy of this 90% of population is released by encouraging, developing and using all the national languages in their respective spheres of activities, the artificially propped up importance of English will automatically disappear.
All professionals and bureaucrats will also need to be proficient in at least two national languages in addition to English. Then and then only, the non-English speaking population will also be able to grow without English in their respective spheres of activities, where English need NOT be used at all. If the bureaucrats and professionals know both English
and the national languages, as designed within the constitution, national languages will also develop the required vocabulary will also grow in due course of time. Any language can be killed by its nonusage. That is what is currently happening in India. There are many multilingual countries in the world, where most of the population knows at least two or
three languages. Why not India??
The standard of English of the so called English speaking population is also appauling.
My granddaughter in the 3rd grade (in USA) can speak and comprehend better English than 70-80% of the Babuish English, most Indians speak or write. Over two hundred years of slavery to the British did NOT make English Universal in India, nor will the next thousand
years do so now.
Sure, a miniscule population of snobs can throw around their weight using knowledge of English as a higher status (read caste) for themselves, and considering non-English speaking population as literal outcasts!!
Thousands of intellectuals existed in India pre-independence without any knowledge of English. Most businesses were conducted without any English. It is strange that after independence India is getting more slavish to English than ever before!!
The situation will not improve unless the English knowing intellectuals, professionals and bureaucrats, learn and use the national languages themselves and make them mandatory for all jobs. They need to rise above their selfish interests.

4. “P. Ramakrishnan” wrote on jaihind ‘What the so-called English-speaking classes really deliver within a few months cannot be more than scores of words in English and an inclucation to develop the spirit of conversing in that language. Once the foothold is established, over a period of time such boys/girls/men/ women tend to communicate in English more through voice in the beginning and in writing too as the time crawls on. Further experiences in life make them fluent even in writing.
While such institutions are a boon to the non-English speaking/handling people, they should be kept under constant check to ensure that they do not fleece the unsuspecting people.
Since ENGLISH as a language of utility cannot be wished away in India, checks and measures have to be established to bring such mushrooming institutions’ accountable for their activities, but it has to be ensured at the same time that this facility is not deprived of. During these days even the regular school going children go to such English coaching classes
because of the adamency of the various State Governments with policies curtailing the scope of ENGLISH education in the schools.
5. “Deepak Kumar Vasudevan” wrote on Consumer Voice India ‘This has been a long-pending social evil at least in Chennai. In Chennai we have something called VETA (It was previously Vivekananda Training Institute). This guy was previously having a single
office in T. Nagar (near Railway Station). Now it has mushroomed throughout the state.
This guy has benami institutes for Tutorialtic classes too. The notable among them is one near Jammi Buildings, Mylapore whose study centers for various reputed universities involve in largescale fraudulent admissions and activities. I have personally witnessed for a friend while dealing with admissions towards Madurai Kamaraj University through this StudyCenter.
They get original marksheets of qualifying examinations and then charge you sky rocketing prices. The assured contact programmes and classes are not conducted either.
My reporting experiences date back to about 3 to 4 years back but I don’t think there would have been any positive sea change but rather just deterioration but just an informative recall, since it touched base the topic on these shady institutes.
