BY HERALD REPORTER
MARGAO, OCT 23 – Lok Shatki has expressed surprise over former chief minister, Manohar Parrikars remarks that he will adopt methods of Gandhigiri while addressing problems of the people.
It is surprising that the person who always resorted to Hitlergiri during his tenure Chief Minister of Goa is giving sermons on Gandhigiri.
Lok Shakti President Dr Francisco Colaco has said that Parrikar has always maintained his allegiance to religious fundamentalism the same thought process, which culminated in assassination, of Mahatma Gandhi.
The person who participated in the Babri Masjid demolition has no moral right to talk about non-violent methods of Gandhian philosphy, Dr Gomes added.
Lok Shakti has also demanded that the people of Goa need satisfactory explanation from the former chief minister as to why Multiplex was given to Inox without floating tender for meager sum of Rs six lakh per month.
Dr Colaco said that the recent tender for operating Multiplex has been taken by Inox for monthly rent of Rs 31.50 lakh, thanks to clever clause inserted by former government granting discretion to Inox to match the highest bid.
Lok Shakti has congratulated Chief Secretary J P Singh for completing tender formalities and generating additional revenue of Rs three crore by putting an end to the exceptional favour bestowed on Inox by former government.
