| 1. Period of incident: | 2009 – Mar |
| 2. Services that were sought: | Trasnfer of ownership of a residential plot. Payment of penalities |
| 3. Problem/s I faced: | The record clerks would not find your file unless you pay some bribe..The bribe rate is fixed as 4000 for processing the ownership transfer, 5000 for getting house map approved. Infact you need to pay bribe for anything and everthing without which nothing would be done. |
| 4. Bribe amount: | It can vary from 5000 to 50000 depending on the sixe of your residential plot. |
| 5 a. Was the bribe paid? | Yes, we paid bribe to get the map cleared. |
| 5 b. Could the work have been done without paying the bribe? If so, how? | No, the work would never be done. The clerks would hide your file and tell you that it has been lost. The seniors would not listen unless you have some proof.. It seems they are also involved. |
| 6. Result: | There has been a lot of complaints but no action has been taken and the corrupt people live a luxurious life earing 100 times the official salary. |

| 1. For head of government department: | |
| Suggestion 1: | Make every person answerable and the official work should be completed within the set time frame. If that does not happen, strict action should be taken againt the defaulting clerks or officials. |
| 2. For the Anti Corruption Bureau (ACB) / Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI): | |
| Suggestion 1: | Check for unaccounted wealth and property of the clerks. |

| Suggestion 1: | Stop paying any bribe to the clerks. |
