| 3. Problem/s I faced: | 1. At the outset, the officials give a lame excuse of lot of work and that I am not the only one whose case is pending. 2. This happens every year. I am experiencing this for the past five years. |
| 4. Bribe amount: | Rs. 5000/- each year for the refund of Income Tax. |
| 5 a. Was the bribe paid? | Yes. I was posted on the borders and I had to ensure that the necessary money due is received. Though I had refused earlier, I was forced to give as my wife was unable to deal with the official. |
| 5 b. Could the work have been done without paying the bribe? If so, how? | NO. IT IS NOT POSSIBLE AT ALL IN THE IT DEPARTMENT. |

| Suggestion 1: | I AM A COLONEL AND AM RETIRING SOON. EACH YEAR, IF I HAVE TO PAY BRIBE TO GET MY OWN MONEY, THEN IT SEEMS THAT WE IN THE ARMY ARE “SERVING FOR AN UNGRATEFULL COUNTRY AND UNGRATEFULL COUNTRYMEN”. IF I CAN PICK UP ARMS TO SAFEGUARD THE COUNTRY AGAINST THE ENEMY, I THINK WE MILITARY PERSONNEL, CAN ALSO TAKE UP ARMS AGAINST THESE PEOPLE IF THE GOVERNMENT DOES NOT TAKE ACTION AGAINST SUCH ELEMENTS AS RAJ BAHADUR. PLEASE DO NOT FORCE WE CITIZENS TO BECOME MILITANTS AS CORRUPTION IS RAMPANT AND IT IS HIGH TIME THAT SOMEBODY EMERGES TO ELIMINATE SUCH CHARACTERS! |

| Suggestion 1: | PLEASE DO NOT GIVE IN TO DEMANDS OF BRIBE. THESE CHARACTERS ARE BUILDING PALATIAL BUNGALOWS AND AMASSING WEALTH IN SWISS BANKS BY LOOTING ALL OF OUR HARD EARNED MONEY. PLEASE REMEMBER THAT ALL GOVERNMENT SERVANTS ARE PUBLIC SERVANTS AND THEY ARE ALL GIVEN HEFTY SALARIES TO SERVE THE CITIZENS IN THEIR RESPECTIVE DEPARTMENTS. I THINK TIME HAS COME FOR ALL OF US TO ENACT MUNNABHAI FOR ALL ACTS OF BRIBE DEMAND. WHERE WILL THESE BASTARDS GO IF WE ALL REFUSE TO GIVE BRIBE? THEY DO NOT HAVE THE GUTS TO FACE THE MASSES IF WE ALL TAKE PART IN THIS DRIVE AS A REVOLUTION. JAI HIND! |
