| 2. Services that were sought: | Appointment into the police service based on merit. |
| 3. Problem/s I faced: | I have been informed that upto 2 and a half lakhs is being asked from poor tribals to get a job in the police |
| 4. Bribe amount: | Two and a half lakhs |
| 5 a. Was the bribe paid? | They have not yet paid but see no alternative as no other jobs available and there is also discrimination on the type of job they can get. |
| 5 b. Could the work have been done without paying the bribe? If so, how? | They are not aware but should get on merit only. |

| Suggestion 1: | More public awareness and warnings of consequences of corruption to officers. |
| 2. For the Anti Corruption Bureau (ACB) / Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI): | |
| Suggestion 1: | Encourage transperancy and strict punishment and removal from service warnings with no tolerance for corruption. Ensure audits are regularly conducted to ensure the general public specially the poor are not being exploited-on an anonymous basis. |
