D: My Suggestions | |
1. For head of government department:
Suggestion 1: | Increase the present nallas width to more than 6 times to ensure smooth water flowing. Remove all the obstruction and clean the existing gutters and remove filths, stones, muds. Investigate the matter by Anti corruption bureau, state governnment, media, court and other arms of the govt. and retain the space for the play ground/ garden and other recreational purpose only which should handed over to Sahakar Nagar residents only and every member should be signatory and owner of the open space. Investigate the present and previous activities of these family run sanstha as they have similarly used/ ocupied larger area in Thakkar Bappa and made independent bungalows. |
Suggestion 2: | Why the residents of Sahakar Nagar getting step motherly treatment from state and BMC officials and most of its activities done for indivduals and private gain. Despite stiff opposition from residents, BMC narrowed the big nulla to small gutter and residents facing constant water logging in their compound and in monsoon, ground floor residents facing water logging in this area despite providing big pumps and manning the same. |
2. For the Anti Corruption Bureau (ACB) / Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI):
Suggestion 1: | How the family run Sanstha got permission from BMC to make warm production unit in this open space. What method adopted while alloting open land to this sanstha and why the officials not informed / misguided the residents saying that it is developing for Nana nani park/ garden etc. Why this open space not handed over to the Sahakar Nagar residents/ forum and what is the hidden agenda in narrowing the big gutter which carry water from Siddharth colony and other area which is flowing to Sahakar Nagar, Shell Colony area, which is constantly facing water logging. Whether the deal was transparent and why the responsible officials not punished for their wrong doings. What action is going to take this sanstha for misrepresenting people of the area. Role of politician/ bureaucracy and other big individuals in this open land encroachment which is worth more than 50 crores. Why this scam taken lightly by the authorities for whose benefit. |
3. For other citizens: | |
Suggestion 1: | Need to protect open space in our nearby area especially open space is shrinking due to greedy builders bad political and bureaucratic decision. We are going to face 26th July type situation and we the citizen are again and again facing water logging problem due to apathy of the state/ BMC and we get only excuse. By protecting open space can avoid such a situation. Every citizen of Mumbai need extra vigil what is happening nearby from security to open land encroachment. Our influential section with the help of loophole in our law taken away our open space at the cost of tax payers and make crores of rupees. While our children, senior citizen have no space for playing and recreational activities. |
Suggestion 2: | For last 10 years, we are loosing open space every day. Even the space for gutters and nallas are heavily encroached and the problem of 26th July happened only due to encroachments. When construction activities reached at peak level in Mumbai, we are facing acute water shortage on the one side and other side, we are facing water logging. A complete mismanagement and lack of governance and responsibility on the part of Municipal and concerned authorities and concentrated on Licence Permit raj. |
