| 3. Problem/s I faced: | The Sub inspector harassed me before returning the DL. My bike’s emission test was valid only till nov 4 2008, the Traffic police sub inspector (Rajesh) stopped me on 12 nov 2008 for routine check and since my emission certificate was not valid, I said I will pay fine. but he wanted something else |

| 5 b. Could the work have been done without paying the bribe? If so, how? | He asked me to pay 100Rs and I gave him 100 Rs and give some wrong receipt which I protested and asked him to issue as per rule (i.e. pay fine in the court and seize my DL) but he did not return 100Rs |

| D: My Suggestions | |
| 1. For head of government department: | |
| Suggestion 1: | When I was trying to follow the law, the traffic sub inspector discouraged me. but i insisted to follow as per law. I went to court and payed the fine and returned to police station to get my DL back. Now is it not the duty of the police to follow the procedure of depositing the documents seized in police station so that it can be returned when the fine is payed or when issue is closed. Why did the inspector carried the DL with him? I should track the inspector first and then get harrssed from him to get back my DL for just following the law in true sprit!! My request is please make some standard procedure so that good citizens do not get harrssed. Documents i have with me is: 1) i have false receipt that he issued. 2) Correct notice to pay fine in court. |

| Suggestion 1: | I do not have any suggestion, in fact I want to know how to face such situations and make sure the corrupt is punished! Please ensure that all the procedure of govt works are well advertised and educate every one of us. |
