| 2. Services that were sought: | This was with reference to Income Tax Assessment year 2004-05 |
| 3. Problem/s i faced: | It was a clear cut demand of cash by the additional commissioner else he was going to disallow the whole expenses. |

| 5 b. Could the work have been done without paying the bribe? | No, he disallowed the whole expenses knowlingly that this was our first assessment and we we will have to go through the hassles of appeal and will have the scrutiny every year if once disallowed. |
| 6. Result: | We had gone for appeal and the case was dismissed becasue we were asked by the CIT appeal to pay 10% of the allowable figure and that too he will allow 85%. Now will go to Tribunal |

| D: My Suggestions | |
| 1. Suggestions for head of government department: | Now if we see in the Income Tax department it is total setting which is going on. Let what your case be – without adjustment nothing will be done. We should have a system of assessment through emails with a cc to the inspection / investigation department of all emails by the assessing officer to the assesee. Any requirement of the data or queries should be through the email and the assessee also should respond through the email with reply to all. If it is the CA firm which is attending they should also follow the same system. Currently the income tax department is majorly in the corruption bracket and nothing works with out money. |
