The Noida Traffic Police and NGO Initiative for Transportation &
Development Programmes (ITDP-India) are jointly organising a Bicycle
Rally in Noida on Sunday, November 30, 2008 to raise awareness about Road
Safety and to promote Cycling as Alternate & Green Transportation.
You are cordially invited to participate in the rally with your family,
friends and colleagues to support our cause and also rediscover the charm
& benefits of cycling. There is no registration fee or age limit for
participants. The event is open to students, cycling enthusiasts and all
the people who are concerned about issues like: road safety, environment,
climate change, and health & fitness.
The 10-km Bicycle Rally will be flagged off by the Superintendent of
Police (Traffic) of Noida, Mr. Ajay Sahdev. The rally will start at 08.30
AM from Noida Stadium (Gate No.1) and pass through Jamnalal Bajaj Marg,
Rajnigandha Chowk, Captain Vijayant Thapar Marg, Max Hospital, Sectors 19,
20, 26, 27, Kailash Hospital, DPS School, Arun Vihar (Sectors 28, 29 &
37), Sectors 30 & 31, Ashok Marg, Nithari, Jalvayu Vihar (Sectors 21 &
25), and Spice Mall before culminating at Noida Stadium at 10.30 AM. A web

bring their own bicycles for the rally. We have also arranged for some
extra bicycles for those who don’t have their own bikes but are very keen
to attend the event. Extra bicycles would be available on first cum first
basis and priority would be given to people who are participating for the
first time in DCC cycling rides.
