November 17 – 23: Bangalore: Travelling Film South Asia* (TFSA) Festival
yes, *maraa <http://www.maraa.in> *has been up to many, many things. The
last few months was like a rush of ideas, happenings and wishlists.
One of the ideas on the wishlist was to host a film festival in Bangalore
and looks like that wish has come true!
I received an email from the Delhi Film Archives sometime in August about
the *Travelling Film South Asia* (TFSA) Festival which had a very
interesting compilation of films. I mailed them promptly and asked them if
they could send the package here, so that Bangalore too has access to these
films.
They agreed, happily. One month later we met with *Pedestrian
Pictures<http://www.pedestrianpictures.org/>
* and *Vikalp <http://vikalpblr.wordpress.com/> *Bengaluru, who agreed to
collaborate with us for making this happening.
The concept of the TFSA festival is interesting since this same package has
travelled across India several times and it will reach us in a couple of
days from Guwahati. After the festival, we will then courier the package to
a new destination, and it keeps travelling on..
We met, worked out the logistics, drew out a budget, delegated roles and
discussed more. All expenses are to be met by the hosting parties, it is a
non-commercial initiative.
