December 22 – 27: Ahmedabad: Training Programmes on Cardio Pulmonary Resuscitation

My family friend Akash who is the Founder and CEO of Shanti Charities, a US-based NPO that teaches individuals how to take care of themselves and help others in the time of an emergency, is coming to India in December 2008 with a team of instructors to conduct seminars and impart hands-on training on Cardio Pulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) and the use of an Automatic External Defibrillator (AED).

They’re holding two four-hour sessions per day from Dec 22 to 27 in medical colleges and hospitals in Ahmedabad.

They have raised funds to fly the 15 volunteers/instructors and would appreciate support from Indian individuals and organisations. Donations for CPR books, CPR mannequins, supplies and local expenses are welcome. The material can also be donated in kind.
