December 07 – 13: Mumbai: Mega Medical Camp during the Rotary Service Week
Rotary Club of Bombay Queen City and few other South Mumbai Rotary Clubs are conducting a mega medical camp during the Rotary Service Week being observed from Sunday 7th Dec. to Saturday 13th Dec08.between 11am to 5pm.
Location is the Courtyard at High Street Phoenix Lower Parel
The highlights of the Mega Medical Camps for all seven days, would include facilities for:
1) General Check up, 2) blood test 3) Eyes check up
4) Dental check up 5) ENT, 6) Cancer awareness
7) Cardiac check 8) Orthopedic 9) Gynaec consultation
10) Liver Disease 11) TB 12) HIV
All above will be done on daily basis for all seven days from 7th to 13th Dec. There will be special events will be Blood Donation on 10th December and Cancer Detection on 11th &12th Dec. Spectacles will be made available at discounted rates.
In the evenings street plays and skits will be arranged to create awareness on Drug abuse /HIV /Anti Tobacco etc.
On Sunday 7th December Rose week will be inaugurated by Rotary District Governor Bansi Dhurandhar and Chief Guest is BMC Commissioner Dr. Jayraj Phatak and Guest Of Honour ex Police Commissioner J. Rebeiro.
At the inauguration of Rotary Service Week 5 Policemen from D B Marg Police Station will be facilitated (one posthumously)
We have had a wonderful experience last year and the Camp was highly appreciated by 4000 people who took the benefit of the same.
This year we are expecting more than 10000 people from areas of Dadar,Parel,Worli to benefit by the Medical Camp.
