Sub: World AIDS Day 1st December 2008 regarding.
Please find enclosed herewith little information regarding World AIDS Day, 2008 (1st December, 2008). For your kind information and necessary action,
I am sure your company observing World AIDS Day i.e. World AIDS week with starts with World AIDS Day on 1st December and ends on 7th December i.e. World AIDS Sunday will go a long way. I am sure your company observing and participating in World AIDS Day will make a big difference in not only creating awareness among the employees of your company but will go along way in facing the greatest challenge humanity is facing today and to effectively address the devastation caused by HIV/AIDS pandemic.
Some of the action points for your kind consideration and necessary action.
Ø Actively participate in all the World AIDS Day programs including Rally etc. organized by the local Nodal Officer of HIV/AIDS, and by other NGOs.
NB: In A.P. The Nodal Officer HIV/AIDS is the additional DM&HO in each District.
Ø Also celebrate World AIDS Day in a fitting manner in your campus on 1st December.
Ø Supply caps, T-shorts, Sun caps etc. needed for the Rally on 1st December.
Ø Prepare and supply Red Ribbons to all your employees and make it mandatory to every employee to wear the same starting from 1st December to 7th December.
Ø Release Wall posters and Banners with massages for HIV/AIDS prevention.
Ø Invite resource person and give classes to all your employees in your company about HIV/AIDS during the week.
Ø With the help of Government / NGOs in your locality, supply Nutrients like Rice, Oil, Dal, Health Drink and Medicines to HIV/AIDS infected and affected from below the poverty line on a long term basis i.e. monthly supply.
NB: Sir, it may not be possible for me to express in words the sufferings of HIV/AIDS Patients from below the poverty line. Sir, majority of the death of HIV/AIDS Patients from below the poverty line is are mainly due to non-accessibility to treatment of opportunistic infections precipitated by starvation.
Ø Meet the Doctor incharge of ART centre and try to address the gaps there.
Ø Provide Medical, Nutritional and Educational support to HIV/AIDS infected and affected children in your area.
