CAT (Common Admission
Test) is a national level entrance exam conducted by IIM (Indian Institutes
of Management) for the management courses of its seven Best B-Schools. These
institutes have considered as prestigious management institutes in terms of
providing high quality education under highly experienced teaching staffs,

In CAT Entrance Exam, it contains four different sections
i.e. Reading Comprehension, Verbal ability, Problem Solving and Data
Interpretation. This entrance exam contains multiple choice questions and time
duration for attempting the questions is two and half hours. For every wrong answer, there is negative
marking too.
Eligibility Criteria
Anyone can appear in CAT Entrance Exam, if he has a
Bachelors degree with at least 50 % marks or CGPA. The relaxation in marks is
45% if a candidate belongs to Schedule caste (SC) or Schedule tribe (ST)
category. If you are appearing in the final year exam of graduation, you are
eligible for CAT Exam.
Preparation for CAT
For the preparation of CAT Entrance Exam, you should first
clear your basic concepts from NCERT books of Class 9th to 12th.
In the market, you may find a lot of books for the preparation of this exam.
You should select books which cover all aspects of the examination. In my
opinion, you should also attempt model question papers to know your weaknesses
and strengths. By doing so, you can do more focus on your weaker areas and as
the result, you can get good score in the exam for taking admission in the Top
