- Card
system:- In the card system, you should make cards of a manageable
size. Everyday, you should learn at least 15 new words from newspapers and
magazines and write them on these cards with their meaning. This way, your
cards will pile up. Now, keep these cards on your study table and share
five minutes daily anytime during the day. You should shuffle the cards,
give a look at the top card and revise the words. Next time, the another
card will be on the top. Therefore, you can add and revise new words. - Calender
system:- In the calendar system, you have to select a good old
calender with lots of pages and you should hang it on the wall of your
study room from the reverse side. Now you should write 50 good selected
words daily on each page. In your free time, you should look at the same
page for a week. When you see a same page for a week, then you will deepen
your acquaintance with the set of words several times. So you will revise
many words without any hassles. - Word
Profile:- When you make a word profile, then you may work as a
powerful and enduring technique for learning new words. In making the word
profile, you should write every important word on a separate card. On this
card, you write the word’s meaning, its synonyms, its part of speech, its
usage and its differences from other synonyms.
Thus, by adopting these methods, you will be able to build
up a powerful vocabulary. And when you will appear in the entrance exams, you
will clear the test with very good score.
