A website on the BMC poll that tells all !
Its designer, Najmuddin Bookwala, also makes predictions… and according to him, the Sena will be the biggest loser in these elections!
Don’t be confused about the BMC elections,
log onto www.mumbaibmcelections.com instead. The website was designed by Najmuddin Bookwala, 56, a member of the NGO Hum Vatan which works for the development of the city. It contains details of all the 227 wards, provides information about their boundary limits, gives details about corporators, profiles of various political parties and their manifestos, includes news related to the elections and even contains the Code of Conduct.
Bookwala has done 36 years of research in the subject of politics. He was the first person to host a political website in the country (www.nationalistcongressparty.com) in 1999. “The website has everything that a Mumbaikar can imagine. There are many people who are confused about this election and some are not even aware whether their ward is a male or female ward. I have posted all relevant details about this election that can be accessed at the click of a button,” said Bookwala, who is also the national general secretary (minority) of the Nationalist Congress Party.
Interestingly, the website also contains predictions made by Bookwala about the BMC elections. The Shiv Sena will be the biggest loser, it predicts. “My predictions have never been false and I have made them after a through study of politics. It took me around two years to understand the politics of Mumbai and that’s how I came out with these predictions. I am not bothered if anyone is offended. Each and every individual has the right to predict,” Bookwala said.
Meanwhile, as per polls conducted by the website, the Sena has the maximum number of goons in their party and BJP the least. “These are polls conducted by visitors to the website and it have not been manipulated by me. I posted this question only to know what a Mumbaikar thinks about a political party. I have noticed in the past that majority of the voting people are youth who belong to the age group of 15-36 years.
I want these youths to understand politics very well. That’s why I have also posted statistics and figures about different parties, so that they could give their vote to the right party. I hope my website make a lot of difference in this election,” concluded Bookwala.
Predictions on the website…
According to the predictions on the website, “Maharashtra Navnirman Sena has maximum youth and Mumbai will see the power of youth and they have a very good organisation. BSP will play a little role in the election. RPI (Republican Party of India) will react with the OBC/ ST/SC/ votes and will make Mumbai’s election result affected. The Congress and NCP is still confused on seat sharing and this may be give a good chance to the Maharashtra Navnirman Sena. Samajwadi Party has presentation in the city but their organizational skills are weak. In this case how Muslims and Uttar Bhartiyas will vote to them is question of millions. However, the Sena will be the biggest loser.”
