| 2. Services that were sought: | No Services required from this Department |
| 3. Problem/s I faced: | A false, fabricated and baseless FIR (allegations of dowry demands-498A etc) filed in this Thana by my estranged wife Keerti Gupta, living separately in Gwalior for 18 months, whereas I live in Delhi. Mahila Thana officials took bribe to register this fake FIR and then also tried to blackmail me |

| 5 a. Was the bribe paid? | I did not pay any bribe being a very senior IAAS officer (Joint Secy to GOI-level) |
| 5 b. Could the work have been done without paying the bribe? If so, how? | Keerti Gupta and her family could not have registered the fake FIR without giving bribe to Mahila Thana |
| 6. Result: | After I reported facts to SP Gwalior, Mahila Thana officials have stopped harassing me. But action should be taken against them for registering completely fake FIR against me my parents (innocents) |

| 1. For head of government department: | |
| Suggestion 1: | All FIRs registered by Mahila Thana, Padao under 498-A and other dowry laws should be examined at the level of SP to expose the corruption extortion racket. |
| Suggestion 2: | Mahila Thana officials should be changed frequently to prevent misuse of 498-A Law and also to prevent using this Law as an extortion racket. |
| 2. For the Anti Corruption Bureau (ACB) / Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI): | |
| Suggestion 1: | They should conduct sting operations to expose this extortion racket under the garb of 498-A etc. |

| Suggestion 1: | Never succumb to blackmaikling by the girl’s side as well from the Police, as both of them connive together to misuse this law to extort money from the helpless victims from the boy’s side. |
