B: My Complaint Details | |
1. Period of incident: | 2008 – Feb |
2. Services that were sought: | DP Remarks for plot in Dahisar |
3. Problem/s I faced: | I was asked to collect DP remarks in 15 days. While giving the DP Remarks, asked for consideration for favour saying the other fellow had given Rs.1500/- & that it was up to me. I had to shell out and was asked to pay Rs.100/- to collect paper from despatch clerk who had plenty of Rs.100 notes |
4. Bribe amount: | Rs,1500 to the Town Planning Architect /clerk and Rs.100/- to Despatch Clerk and Rs.25/- Appln form |
5 a. Was the bribe paid? | Fear of adverse results/harassment as it is generally known tha t almost all Govt Depts are corrupt & lack of concern for public or issues due to top to bottom link ; protected job & non-answerability |
5 b. Could the work have been done without paying the bribe? If so, how? | They do not give proof /ackn.ledgemnt for Appln submission and can say they had not recd the Appln Wanton poor Admn. Procedures to harass, & make money. Single Window for submission & collection reqd |
6. Result: | Only after demand was fulfilled I got the DP Remark paper though the remarks were in negative, ie. the Plot was Reserved for RECREATION purpose |

D: My Suggestions | |
1. For head of government department: | |
Suggestion 1: | 1) Single window system for receipt of Application Forms with Form Fee mentioned, so that money goes to Govt. rather than to secured job protected and well salaried clerks, 2) Procedures/Instruct |
Suggestion 2: | Within 3-4 working days of submission, the document shall be scrutinised and short comings , clarifications, additional information/ |
Suggestion 3: | DP Plan and reservations for any Area/Zone or DP Remark etc pertaining to any plot bearing any Survey no. in BMC jurisdiction, should be viewable or enabled to be seen thru BMC Internet Web-site |
2. For the Anti Corruption Bureau (ACB) / Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI): | |
Suggestion 1: | Display prominently phone no. & address of ACB / CBI to be contacted in case of need, in Govt / Semi-Govt / corpn premises to create sense of responsibility & as preve ntive measures |
3. For other citizens: | |
Suggestion 1: | To write to KARAMYOG and various sites ON LINE who can get a Data of similar complaints from BMC & similar various organisations / depts & plan course of deterrant remedial measures and make India a better place to live. |
