The year 2008 saw NASSCOM
institute a special track on social development at its annual India Leadership
Forum. The NASSCOM Foundation organised track Information Technology as a
Catalyst for Change focused on the impact of information and communication
technologies (ICT) for development in
Indian IT industrys CSR initiatives. Speakers and participants at the event
represented civil society organizations, government agencies and corporates,
specifically from the IT industry. Some of the key speakers at the track
included Dr. Walter Fust, Jerry Rao, Kiran Karnik, Som Mittal, Harsh Manglik,
