CE found with assets worth Rs 4 cr
HYDERABAD: Sleuths of the Anti-Corruption Bureau today unearthed assets worth Rs 4 crore belonging to the Chief Engineer of Irrigat ion department , VV Nageshwar Rao.
Simultaneous searches conducted in Hyderabad, Anantapur and other places revealed that the accused owned a house in Krishna district, four flats in Hyderabad, Ghatkesar and Vijayawada. Besides, the accused also owns eleven house sites in Medak, Krishna and Guntur districts.
The Chief Engineer also owned two commercial shops in Hyderabad besides five flats owned by his children.
Officials said that they also seized one kg gold, 14 kg silver, electronic goods which includes two laptops, eight cell-phones. The tainted officer has Hyundai Accent car, Toyota Qualis. “Financial documents pertaining chit funds and money lending were seized. The details of lockers and details of bank transactions are under investigation,’’ officials added.
