It is important to shedsome light on the lesser known scholarships as these could help tilt the scale in affirmative decision making for a large section of aspiring students. One way to be ahead is to start applying early. You want to make sure you are the first one in line, says Cheryl Maplethorpe, director of financial aid for the Minnesota Office of Higher Education.
UNITED STATES
Knowledge-sharing is a part of who we are every day, which is why Answers Corporation established the USD 20,000 Answers.com Scholarship Fund to provide funds for deserving students. The Answers.com Scholarship Program plans to award one USD 5,000 scholarship, two USD 2,500 scholarships, and ten scholarships valued at USD 1,000 each. Ambassadorial Scholarships, The Rotary Foundation’s oldest and best-known program, was founded in 1947. Since then, nearly 38,000 students from about 100 nations have studied abroad under its auspices. Today, it is the world’s largest privately funded international scholarships programme.
