The Bihar Floods with continued monsoon rains have brought about devastation and made over a million people homeless. On behalf of the National Disaster Management Authority, NDMA Corporate Task Force and its Corporate Disaster Resource Network (CDRN), to complement the ongoing needs we seek your contributions for the relief operations of the Bihar Floods for the affected families for whom we are mobilising these resources. There are still over a million people homeless having immediate shelter and drinking water needs.
1000 Tarpaulin / HDP sheets 12ft x 18ft , where each sheet will provide temporary shelter to 4-5 members of the affected families. The approximate cost for the Sheets and Handling is INR 400,000.
Need for additional 30 Tonnes of Polythene sheets, 40 running meters of 12 ft width to be used for providing temporary shelter which will cost approximately INR 25,00,000 for the Polythene sheets and handling.
Need for Water Filteration Units for Relief Camps and Small Capacity Purifiers for families outside the camps.
