CSR activities:

Education- Providing quality education to the local children is a prime concern for Atul Ltd.

B K Muzumdar Science College, Kalyani School and Atul Vidyalaya provide students of the region top quality education. B K Muzumdar Foundation is active with educational programmes in rural areas.

Health Care – Atul Rural Development Fund (ARDF), the Company’s rural development arm, regularly conducts educational programmes like General Health Awareness Campaigns, Health Camps, dispensing Vitamin A to school children to combat night-blindness. ARDF regularly conducts Blood Donation Camps and provides financial aid to terminally ill patients.

ARDF operates an exclusive Eye Camp in collaboration with a reputed state-of-the-art eye hospital to provide corrective surgeries for cataract patients and free spectacles for others. This effort has restored or aided the vision of several thousands in remote villages.

Sustainable Development- Zero discharge concept has been adopted at Atul based on the principle of recycle, reuse and reduce. Our concentrated efforts under this project yielded massive reduction in overall water consumption apart from awareness amongst all how to conserve resources effectively.

Adoption Of Clean Development Mechanism

We have not limited ourselves to the statutory requirements but have gone beyond compliance. In the process, we have successfully installed a plant for brick manufacturing, having capacity of 100000 bricks per day. As a result we are now in a position to consume entire fly ash being generated from our captive power plant and gypsum sludge at Atul site
