Vital Friends
Don’t walk behind me, I may not lead. Don’t walk in front of me, I may not follow. Just walk beside me and be my friend. — attributed to Albert Camus

Good News of the Day:
In the recently published book “Vital Friends”, author Tom Rath says people with a best friend at work are seven times more likely to be engaged in their job! His findings are based on a worldwide poll of eight million people by the Gallup Organization as well as information from the market researcher’s employment engagement database. Rath says those with close friends at work are more likely to draw customers, have fun on the job, share ideas and get more done in less time. “While most companies spend their time thinking about how to increase an employee’s loyalty to their organisation,” he writes, “our results suggest they might want to try a different approach: fostering the kind of loyalty that is built between one employee and another.”
