Established in the 1981 when the Indian Garment Industry was entering a golden era in Fashions, ACL started with just one production unit that has grown to become the fifth largest exporter in India with 10 production facilities in the country and one at Baharin. The Company has an employee base of 5,200 workers managed by 400 professionals.

Headquartered at Chennai, the company manufactures a wide variety of products which includes bottoms from basic chinos to denim to classic wool pants to wool jackets to peacoat jackets. The company has well laid quality systems and procedures and all garments are audited according to the AQL 2.5 inspection plan. The company follows rigid quality control standards and strictly follows international guidelines, which includes a 4 point checking system. The prestigious clients of ACL include GAP, Banana Republic, Kohls, Old Navy, Liz Claiborne, Esprit, Diesel, Tommy Hilfiger etc.
