| New info chief
Additional chief secretary and Mumbai Metropolitan Region Development Association (MMRDA) commissioner Suresh Joshi will be the first chief information commissioner under the Right to Information Act, which will come into force from October 12. A high level committee headed by chief minister Vilasrao Deshmukh approved his appointment. Governor S M Krishna will administer him the oath on October 11. |
